Each user role within Nooks has a corresponding set of permissions or actions they can perform on the website. Nooks has three levels of roles in order from least to greatest permissions:

User < Admin < Owner

To click change the different set of permissions each user role has, click on the "Community Permissions" button in the Admin Tab.

For example, you may want to only allow Admins to create new rooms. To do this, set the permission "Create Room" to Admins.

While most permissions are intuitive here is a reference for some that might be confusing:

• External Shared Doc - Who can open shared documents even outside of the room they are currently in.
• Record Video - Who can record videos within a room (note, while most permissions are live updated, this must be set before the start of the event).
• Message Community - In some cases, it is helpful to make the community chat read-only for all users. In large events this is helpful so that only admins can message there.
